Abacus Budget helps users track income, expenses, budgets, savings goals, reports, and exports. This policy explains what information may be handled and how it is used.

Information we collect

You may enter transaction amounts, categories, notes, budgets, savings goals, profile details, and app preferences. If account features are enabled, we may process login details such as email address, phone number, or account identifiers.

How information is used

Information is used to provide budgeting features, reports, account access, optional synchronization, backups, security, customer support, and app reliability improvements. Abacus Budget does not sell personal finance records.

Local-first storage

Abacus Budget stores finance records on your device by default. If cloud synchronization is enabled, selected account and finance data may be transmitted to backend services so your records can sync across sessions or devices.

Permissions

The app may request notifications for reminders and alerts. Biometric or device credential features may be used for app locking where supported. File access may be used when exporting CSV files. Permissions are used only for the related app feature.

Data sharing

We may use trusted service providers for hosting, authentication, synchronization, diagnostics, or support. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users, the app, or our rights.

Data deletion

Abacus Budget includes an account deletion option in the app. When you delete your account, the synced account data connected to it is deleted too. You can also request help with deletion at abacusfedha.com/delete. Local data stored only on your device can be removed by deleting records in the app, clearing app storage, or uninstalling the app.

Children

Abacus Budget is not directed to children under 13. Users should not provide personal data for a child unless permitted by applicable law.
